“I'm a gay Artist drawing women & queer bodies & a mix of figurative a classic, nude, yet non-erotic drawings in vivid, vibrant colours.

I love painting bodies of all sizes & especially the soft strength of a woman's body.

I started looking for Life Drawing classes & found a few offered on instagram via zoom as all classes went online due to the pandemic. At first I couldn't find one that l liked as it

seemed to be one type of body that was in favour; the white, European & slim & I longed to paint outside the lines . In in July, I went for it, but I got confused with the time zone & missed that class, but the next week they had a class with the model that would become my Muse.

I've been drawing her religiously via zoom or purchasing references from her directly. In drawing her found more models who matched my vibe a learned so many drawings skills & art styles.

I am told I draw my models exactly as they are & that is a celebration of the feminine energy that continues to break down doors for us & continue to open doors for those that need.

I am exhilarated to see the uprising of women's rights, fair pay & body autonomy, especially in the world of art.

The ease of sharing it online comes with its own challenges, l've had my account disabled by Instagram before because the algorithm reads the paintings as nudity. I got it back with help of the community I grew on the platform. l've discussed this many times with fellow artists & my precious models that nudity is not inherently sexual & my ethos is that Nude Ain’t Rude.”
