APPARAN

I am a London based street artist, educator and curator from the Canary Islands. My work deals with social related issues such as environment and gender equality. My murals usually depict women with colourful long curly hair and strong features. I incorporate surreal elements and positive messages with bold line work, shading and bursts of colour within my creations. My work has been supported and commissioned by various brands ranging from restaurants and shops like Mooshies Restaurant, My Tea or The Armour Gym, video clips and organizations like SOS Rape. My illustrations and murals have been featured in several books and I am a cowriter of a story book for children.

I am a member of different international art collectives which has provided me with lots of contacts with people in the art world and art projects. I am co-founder of Art House Project London through which I have organised and curated dozens of exhibitions bringing House Music and underground art together in different venues in London. I also coorganise the London International Pasteup Festival which specialises in large collage installations featuring artist from all around the world.
